Hizb ut-Tahrir campaign sparks political debate in Denmark
The Islamist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir has launched a campaign targeting Muslim youth entering high schools. The campaign encourages students to uphold their religious values and avoid what it describes as a “shameless and boundless youth culture,” advising them to abstain from alcohol and free sexuality.
The campaign has sparked significant political debate in Denmark. Thomas Skriver Jensen, the immigration spokesperson for the Social Democrats, has suggested banning the organization, despite its constitutionally protected right to exist. This follows previous controversial statements by Jensen regarding the demographics of Muslims in Denmark. Additionally, the Danish People's Party continues to advocate for the emigration of Muslims from the country.
