HJ Heavy Industries holds safety meeting with partner CEOs
HJ Heavy Industries' construction division held a safety and health meeting for CEOs of 30 major partner companies at its Namyeong office in Seoul. The event aimed to strengthen cooperation to prevent serious accidents at construction sites and share the company's safety policies.
During the meeting, the head of the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office shared government safety trends, and three outstanding partner companies received awards for their safety management performance. HJ Heavy Industries also distributed legal Q&A guides regarding the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and construction machinery checklists to help partners mitigate legal risks.
To address communication barriers with multinational foreign workers, the company has implemented an AI real-time translation program across all its construction sites. This technology is used during safety inspections and training sessions to improve comprehension. Additionally, the company is launching a safety campaign under the slogan ‘Return to Zero, Start with Safety’ to prevent recurring accidents such as falls and structural collapses.
