HJK secures third consecutive women's league title
HJK has secured its third consecutive women's national league title with three rounds remaining in the season. The Helsinki-based club clinched the championship following a 1–0 away victory against KuPS in Kuopio.
Iiris Holmström scored the decisive goal approximately fifteen minutes into the match, marking her tenth goal of the season. Despite facing pressure in the second half and receiving a red card late in the game, HJK maintained their lead to establish an insurmountable 14-point advantage over KuPS.
This victory follows HJK's recent cup championship win against HPS in September. The team now shifts focus to their upcoming European match against Brann, where they aim to overcome a 0–2 deficit from the first leg.
