Champions League hockey: Czech teams advance as Nitra is eliminated

The final round of the Champions League group stage has concluded, determining which teams advance to the knockout phase.

Bílí Tygři Liberec secured their progression with a 2-0 victory over HC Davos in Switzerland. Similarly, HC Dynamo Pardubice advanced after a 2-1 overtime win against Växjö Lakers. HC Škoda Plzeň also successfully moved forward following a 6-3 victory over SaiPa Lappeenranta.

In contrast, Slovak champions HK Nitra failed to qualify for the round of 16. Despite a dominant 5-1 win over Swedish side Rögle BK in their final match, Nitra finished in 17th place. Their fate was sealed after Liberec's victory over Davos allowed the Czech club to overtake them in the standings.
