HKC announces 43.8-inch curved monitor with 24:9 aspect ratio

HKC has announced a new 43.8-inch curved gaming monitor, model Tianqi 43H180C, featuring an unconventional 24:9 aspect ratio. Unlike typical 43.8-inch displays that utilize a 3840 x 1800 resolution, this model offers a significantly higher native resolution of 5760 x 2160 pixels, providing approximately 1.5 times more pixels than a standard 4K UHD panel.

The monitor features a 1000R curvature and utilizes Mini-LED backlighting technology. It supports a 180 Hz refresh rate and is expected to offer Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support within the 48 Hz to 180 Hz range. For color accuracy, the panel can cover 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, making it suitable for professional creative tasks. While the high resolution may present compatibility challenges for some game engines, it is designed to enhance productivity through specialized operating modes.
