HKT48 Moves to New Hakata Theater After Closing 2026 Venue

Japanese idol group HKT48 held its final performances on July 26 2026 at the HKT48 theater in Fukuoka’s Chūō‑ku, ending a five‑year‑eight‑month run. Two shows were staged, marking over 1,000 performances and more than 200,000 visitors since the venue opened in November 2020. The closure was attributed to the lease term ending for the BOSS E·ZO FUKUOKA complex.

The group will relocate to a new purpose‑built theater in the 010 Building near Canal City Hakata in Hakata‑ku, slated to open in autumn 2026. The move coincides with HKT48’s 15th anniversary, and members expressed gratitude, with team KIV captain Imura Mari (今村麻莉愛) thanking fans for their support and team H captain Toyonaga Aki (豊永阿紀) urging everyone to create a “better home” together in the new venue.
