HKTDC marks 60 years of trade development with exhibitions

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a series of exhibitions and community art projects. An anniversary exhibition is currently held at the Times Square covered piazza in Causeway Bay, while commemorative artwork is displayed at the O'Brien Road eastbound tram stop in Wan Chai.

The exhibition reviews six decades of the council's efforts to help enterprises expand into global markets. It also outlines future development strategies, which include optimizing operations and increasing presence in high-growth markets such as the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, and the Global South. The display is organized around the HKTDC's four primary roles: Supertrader, Superconnector, Super Value-adder, and Superpartner.

In addition to the trade-focused displays, the HKTDC organized a community art workshop in Wan Chai. Local artist Jane Lee collaborated with students to create a large-scale artwork commemorating the milestone, with participation from HKTDC Chairman Prof Frederick Ma and Executive Director Sophia Chong.
