Vietnamese Vice Premier Le Tien Chau met with representatives from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Business School to discuss expanding academic cooperation in Vietnam. The HKU Business School has proposed establishing a campus in Hanoi to serve as a global platform for business research and training.

Le Tien Chau highlighted the impact of HKU’s representative office in Vietnam since 2022, noting it has facilitated over $4.7 million in scholarships for Vietnamese students and provided training in artificial intelligence management and digital transformation for high-level National Assembly delegations.

The Vice Premier expressed support for the expansion, noting that developing highly qualified human resources is a strategic priority for Vietnam. He suggested a gradual approach to the project, potentially starting with joint training programs in collaboration with prestigious local universities.
