HLA Alicante hosts Gran Canaria amid cultural celebrations

HLA Alicante is set to host Cajasiete Gran Canaria this Saturday at the Pedro Ferrándiz Arena for their third Primera FEB fixture. The event will feature a special celebration called ‘Alicante Night,’ designed to highlight local culture, traditions, and gastronomy. The festivities will include traditional music, appearances by the Alicante Bonfires Federation, and showcases of regional culinary heritage by Hermanos Guardiola.

On the court, HLA Alicante coach Pedro Rivero has identified Gran Canaria as the best team in the category, noting their high offensive level and deep rotation. Despite the challenge, Rivero expressed confidence in playing at home, stating that the team must remain focused and avoid frustration during difficult moments of the game. HLA Alicante enters the match following an opening home victory and a second-round away game in Menorca.
