HMD Global launches durable Nokia 123 Shield feature phone

Finnish mobile‑device maker HMD Global introduced the Nokia 123 Shield, a rugged 2G feature phone aimed at outdoor users. The handset meets IP65 certification, protecting it against dust and water spray, and features an anti‑slip case with rubber covers for the headphone jack and USB‑C port.

The device is powered by a removable 1,750 mAh battery that HMD claims can last up to 19 days in standby mode and about 28 hours of talk time. It runs on a Unisoc SC6531E ARM processor, with 4 MB of RAM and 4 MB of internal storage, expandable via microSD up to 32 GB. Other specifications include dual Mini‑SIM slots, a 2.4‑inch QVGA LCD, a basic QVGA rear camera with LED flash, FM radio, and support for GSM 900/1800 networks. The phone ships with USB‑C charging, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and is offered in dark green and purple, with early listings in Bulgaria around €35.
