HNŽ Government approves employment incentives and social welfare funding

The Government of Hercegovačko-neretvanska županija (HNŽ) has approved several social and employment support programs for 2026. A key initiative involves two public tenders aimed at co-financing the employment and self-employment of children of fallen veterans and children of war disabled veterans. Employers can receive monthly incentives ranging from 800 to 900 KM.

To support professional development, the Ministry for Veterans Affairs will implement a program to help priority categories of veterans' children gain work experience within HNŽ administrative bodies and institutions for a duration of 12 months. This specific project is backed by 300,000 KM in funding.

Additionally, the government approved 130,000 KM in grants for soup kitchens organized by institutions, associations, and religious communities. Further social service funding includes 84,650 KM for community social services and 49,000 KM for the HNŽ Institute of Public Health.
