Hưng Yên police arrest 10 men in 11 billion‑dong gambling case

Ten men were detained under emergency orders, with the arrests and detention decisions approved by the Hưng Yên provincial procuracy.
The suspects, identified by name and residence, include individuals from Hưng Yên, Hải Phòng, Ho Chi Minh City and other locales. The investigation uncovered betting activity linked to football matches during the 2026 World Cup, with the bulk of the wagers placed between June 22 and June 29. Authorities are continuing to gather evidence and will proceed with legal actions according to Vietnamese law.
