Hnutí Duha to seek enforcement of court-ordered apology from Filip Turek
The environmental organization Hnutí Duha has announced plans to file a motion for enforcement regarding a court-ordered apology by MP Filip Turek. The organization claims that Turek failed to comply with a Prague Municipal Court ruling by not publishing the apology in the specific manner and form required by the verdict.
The dispute stems from comments made by Turek, an honorary president of the Motorist party, who previously accused the organization of preventing the construction of a dam that could have mitigated flood fatalities. He also referred to members of the group using derogatory language.
While Turek did post an apology on Facebook, Hnutí Duha spokesperson Eva Pernicová stated that the content and format do not match the court's instructions. The organization argues that Turek used the required social media post to include additional attacks against them rather than providing a proper apology. Hnutí Duha intends to pursue legal steps to compel him to fulfill the court's mandate in the correct form.
