Hnutie Slovensko seeks dismissal of two ministers

The Hnutie Slovensko movement has begun collecting signatures from National Council members to dismiss two ministers, Denisa Saková and Matúš Šutaj Eštok. The opposition cites controversial nominations within the semi-state company Energetika Slovensko as a primary reason, describing the situation as a clear conflict of interest.

One specific concern involves the nomination of Marcela Martonová to the supervisory board. It was noted that Martonová’s husband could potentially be biased in matters concerning Interior Minister Šutaj Eštok. Although Martonová resigned from the position following the controversy, the opposition continues to seek the ministers' removal. Additionally, the nomination of Ľuboš Micheľ, a former football referee and Hlas-SD candidate, has been criticized by opposition MPs for a lack of professional expertise in the energy sector.
