Ho Chi Minh City An Phú Interchange Project Timeline Extended to Q3 2027
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee approved an extension of the An Phú interchange construction schedule, moving the overall completion date to the third quarter of 2027. The project, originally slated for 2021‑2026, has already been delayed twice, most recently from a Q2 2026 finish to Q3 2027. Investment remains above VND 3.4 trillion, with scope, budget and funding unchanged.
Work on sections not blocked by land‑acquisition issues is being accelerated. The N4 overpass, linking Đồng Văn Cống Road to Mai Chí Thọ Road, is in its final completion stage and is expected to open to traffic in late July 2026. The N1.1 branch is planned to open in early October 2026. The N1.2 branch remains dependent on the resolution of land‑owner compensation and relocation disputes; once the site is cleared, construction will take about five months, targeting an opening in late April 2027. Hundreds of workers and heavy machinery continue operating continuously on the site.
