Ho Chi Minh City expands Bus Route 172 service to Vũng Tàu

From July 10, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh CityVũng Tàu bus line 172 will operate longer hours and nearly double its daily trips, rising from 48 to 84 journeys. Service hours at Vũng Tàu terminal shift from 04:00‑18:20 to 04:00‑21:30, and at the Saigon terminal from 05:00‑19:30 to 04:30‑21:30. The fleet on the 97‑km route will increase from 12 to 23 air‑conditioned 40‑seat Kim Long buses, with headways of 15‑45 minutes between trips. The changes aim to better meet passenger demand between the two cities.

The adjustment includes expanded operating times at both termini, a larger vehicle fleet, and a higher frequency of service to improve connectivity and reduce travel delays for commuters traveling between Ho Chi Minh City and Vũng Tàu.
