Ho Chi Minh City holds selection exam for national excellent student team

A total of 4,622 students from grades 10 to 12 in Ho Chi Minh City are participating in the selection exam for the national excellent student team for the 2026-2027 academic year. The exam is being held on September 23 and 24 across multiple locations, including Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Marie Curie High School, Tran Dai Nghia High School, Hung Vuong High School, and Vung Tau High School.

English is the subject with the highest number of participants, with 779 students, followed by Literature (746), Mathematics (642), and Chemistry (408). Other subjects include Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Informatics, Chinese, French, and Japanese. Each subject consists of two 180-minute exams. For foreign languages, the second component is a listening test, while Informatics involves programming in C++, Pascal, or Python.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has implemented strict measures to prevent cheating and ensure the exam is conducted with security, accuracy, and fairness in accordance with Ministry of Education and Training regulations.
