Ho Chi Minh City hospitals implement separate health check-up zones

Ho Chi Minh City health authorities are reorganizing hospital examination departments to improve efficiency and safety during a peak period for nationwide health check-ups. To reduce cross-infection risks and waiting times, hospitals are establishing separate examination and screening areas for general health checks, distinct from patients seeking treatment for specific illnesses.

At An Binh Hospital, a basement area has been converted into a dedicated health check-up zone featuring 12 examination tables covering various specialties, including ophthalmology, internal medicine, and dentistry. Similarly, the Thu Duc Regional General Hospital has optimized its capacity to handle between 200 and 600 check-ups daily, with protocols in place to refer patients with abnormal results to appropriate specialists.

In addition to physical infrastructure improvements, Nhan Dan Gia Dinh Hospital recently held the third installment of its “Cung vung buoc” program. This initiative focuses on the mental well-being of pediatric patients and their caregivers, providing supportive activities to enhance the hospital experience.
