Ho Chi Minh City hosts mass wedding for 52 worker couples
The Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor, in collaboration with the Women's Union and the City Youth Union, organized a mass wedding ceremony for 52 couples consisting of workers, civil servants, and laborers facing financial difficulties.
The program aims to reduce the costs of wedding ceremonies for low-income workers, providing support for wedding attire, photography, and celebratory banquets. The event included a bicycle parade to the Ho Chi Minh President Monument Park, where couples performed flower-offering rituals and received marriage certificates. Following the ceremony, couples experienced the Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) route.
Thái Thu Xương, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, noted that the initiative demonstrates care and solidarity for those facing life challenges. The program also seeks to equip couples with the skills necessary to build happy and stable families.
