Ho Chi Minh City health data and Hanoi electric bus expansion
In Ho Chi Minh City, a large-scale health screening program has recorded over 6 million medical visits, with more than 5.37 million residents establishing electronic health records. Data analysis reveals significant health trends across different age groups. Among residents aged 60 and older, a detailed analysis of 663,306 individuals shows that 51.16% are recorded as having hypertension. Other notable conditions in this age group include type 2 diabetes and age-related cataracts.
For younger demographics, the data shows that among those aged 6 to 18, refractive errors account for 48% of recorded cases, while dental caries account for 34.6%. In the 18 to 59 age group, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and dyslipidemia are the primary concerns identified for early management.
Separately, in Hanoi, the Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) is accelerating its transition to green transportation. In early October 2026, the company deployed 53 new VinFast electric buses across four routes (22A, 22B, 30, and 50), replacing diesel vehicles. Transerco aims to convert more than 20 bus routes, totaling over 275 electric buses, by the end of 2026, targeting a clean energy vehicle ratio exceeding 51%.
