Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon Techcombank season 9 launches

The 9th season of the Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon Techcombank has officially launched. Organized under the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Department of Tourism, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event is supported by strategic sponsor Techcombank and operated by Sunrise Events Vietnam (SEV).

The race is scheduled to take place from December 4 to December 6, 2026. It will coincide with the 6th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week, themed “Vibrant Ho Chi Minh City Fest,” which runs from December 4 to December 12, 2026. Organizers expect a record-breaking participation of over 24,000 domestic and international athletes.

As a major community sporting event, the marathon aims to promote sports tourism, stimulate the service economy, and attract international visitors. Previous editions have demonstrated significant economic impact, with the 2022–2025 period seeing an estimated economic contribution of over $25.7 million.
