Ho Chi Minh City: Large tree uproots at intersection, causing heavy traffic

A large tree uprooted and fell across the intersection of Dinh Tien Hoang and Vo Thi Sau streets in the Tan Dinh Ward of Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of October 7. The incident occurred during the morning rush hour, causing severe traffic congestion in the surrounding areas, including Dien Bien Phu and Phung Khac Khoan streets.

Witnesses reported that the tree fell slowly, allowing nearby street vendors and pedestrians to escape without injury. While no casualties were reported, the fallen tree and its dense canopy completely blocked several lanes of traffic. Local authorities, including police and militia forces, arrived at the scene to cordoned off the area, redirect traffic, and coordinate with tree service companies to clear the debris and restore movement.
