Ho Chi Minh City hosts 21st Freshman Festival for new students

The 21st Ho Chi Minh City Freshman Festival is being held on September 26 and 27, 2026, featuring 58 diverse activities designed to help new students integrate into university life. Organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Student Association and the Student Cultural House, the event includes academic workshops, cultural performances, sports competitions such as a city-wide cross-country race, and technology experiences with VR and AR.

In addition to social and academic engagement, the festival emphasizes student welfare. For the 2026-2027 academic year, organizers plan to award over 500 scholarships with a total value of nearly 5.1 billion VND to support students in need. The program aims to reduce anxiety for newcomers and provide essential skills in areas like AI, finance, and digital etiquette.
