Ho Chi Minh City launches citywide free health‑check program

On 14 July, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced a plan to connect every public hospital, private hospital, ministry‑run facility, district health centre and polyclinic across the city’s 168 wards, communes and special zones. The coordinated effort will deliver free health examinations to all residents during a 150‑day high‑intensity campaign that begins on 16 July. Each locality is assigned one or more partner medical facilities, and mobile teams will operate at health stations, community points and other sites, including weekends and holidays. The programme aims for 100 % coverage, creation of electronic health records for every citizen and continuous lifelong health management. The “hospital‑partnering‑with‑locality” model is intended to continue after the campaign as a foundation for ongoing community health care.
