Ho Chi Minh City named world's best street food city for 2026

Time Out has released its 2026 ranking of the world's best cities for street food, based on a global survey of 24,000 residents who rated the quality and experience of local food offerings.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, secured the top position with a 63% approval rating. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, followed in second place with 62%. The third spot was shared by Jakarta, Indonesia, and Taipei, Taiwan, both receiving 59% approval.

The top of the list is dominated by Asian cities. Other highly-rated locations include Mexico City (58%), Manila (58%), Hanoi (57%), Johannesburg (56%), Bangkok (56%), and Mumbai (55%). Notable mentions in the top 20 include Marrakech, Los Angeles, Beijing, and Singapore.
