Ho Chi Minh City police arrest gold shop robbery suspect

Ho Chi Minh City police have arrested 44-year-old Truong Xuan Huy following a gold shop robbery in the Tan Son ward. The incident occurred at approximately 1:18 PM on August 26 at the K.H.T gold shop on Nguyen Sy Sach Street.

According to authorities, the suspect used a concrete brick to smash a display case and stole ten 18K gold rings, weighing approximately seven mace. After the theft, the suspect fled the scene on a motorcycle.

Following a rapid investigation involving the Criminal Police Department and Forensic Science Department, police identified the suspect and apprehended him on Ta Quang Buu Street at approximately 2:40 PM, just 82 minutes after the crime was reported. Authorities have recovered the stolen assets and are continuing to collect evidence for legal proceedings.
