Ho Chi Minh City police prosecute couple for counterfeit Havaianas sale

Police in Ho Chi Minh City have prosecuted a couple, Le Ngoc Hien and Phan Thi Thanh Vy, for the illegal sale of counterfeit Havaianas flip-flops. The suspects operated through a business known as Tieu Vi House, primarily distributing the fake goods via online channels.

During a raid on a warehouse in Hoc Mon commune, authorities seized more than 11,000 pairs of counterfeit sandals. The estimated value of the seized goods, based on authentic product pricing, exceeds 7.3 billion VND.

Le Ngoc Hien has been placed in temporary detention to assist with the investigation, while Phan Thi Thanh Vy is under house arrest. Both individuals face charges of ‘trafficking in counterfeit goods’ under Vietnamese law.
