Ho Chi Minh City prepares for 2027 school enrollment and graduation exams
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has issued directives to 168 wards, communes, and nearly 200 high schools to prepare for the 2027-2028 school enrollment and the 2027 high school graduation examinations.
To ensure sufficient school placements for the 2027-2028 academic year, local authorities are tasked with auditing student data using VNeID to verify actual residency. Officials must also assess infrastructure, teacher availability, and classroom capacity, proposing flexible enrollment areas or requesting land for new school construction in high-density areas to prevent shortages.
Regarding the 2027 graduation exams, the city is moving toward digital transformation. High schools are instructed to prepare for pilot computer-based testing by upgrading computer systems, ensuring stable internet, and securing software licenses. The Department plans to utilize AI and Big Data to modernize assessment processes. Additionally, teachers will undergo training to develop an open question bank as required by the Ministry of Education and Training.
