Vietnam’s 2026 high‑school graduation exam releases perfect scores and provincial rankings

On 1 July 2026 the Ministry of Education and Training announced results for more than 1.2 million candidates in the national high‑school graduation exam. Five students achieved a perfect total of 30 points across a traditional subject combination; Nguyễn Khắc Công (Bắc Ninh) was the only student with a perfect 30/30 in the A00 (Math‑Physics‑Chemistry) block. Others attained perfect scores in the B00 block (Math‑Chemistry‑Biology) and the A01 block (Math‑Physics‑English), while Hoàng Hương Giang topped the A01 and D01 blocks with 29.75 points and a perfect 1600 SAT score.

Provincial performance showed Ninh Bình leading the nation with the highest average score of 6.320 across all 12 subjects, followed by Hanoi (6.177) and Hai Phong (6.167). Hanoi also recorded the most students earning a perfect 10 in the Physics exam (32), with Ho Chi Minh City second (25). In contrast, no examinee achieved a perfect 10 in Vietnamese language nationwide.

Subject‑level data revealed more than 4 200 perfect 10‑point scores in Mathematics, while Vietnamese language had zero perfect scores and a lower average (6.5). Overall, the average national score across subjects was 5.838. The results will guide university admissions, inform future curriculum adjustments, and influence provincial education policies.
