Ho Chi Minh City publishing delegation attends Frankfurt Book Fair 2026

The Ho Chi Minh City publishing delegation participated in the 2026 Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany, showcasing nearly 100 English and bilingual titles to promote Vietnamese culture. During the five-day event, the delegation engaged with 36 international publishing corporations, copyright representatives, and authors from various regions.

Discussions focused on the exchange of rights for educational books, fiction, children's literature, and academic journals. Notably, the event facilitated two-way trade, as several international partners and authors proactively proposed bringing their works to the Vietnamese market through local publishers.

Interest was particularly high in publications regarding Ho Chi Minh's ideology, historical and political heritage, cuisine, and tourism. Additionally, the rise in demand from technology corporations for content data to support machine learning has highlighted a new commercial frontier for digital copyright protection. The participation aims to integrate the city's printing industry more deeply into the global supply chain and establish Vietnam as a regional hub for high-quality publishing production.
