Ho Chi Minh City raises 55 billion VND for border and island support fund

The Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station, organized an art exchange program titled ‘Towards the Fatherland’s Borders, Seas, and Islands’ on August 15.

The event successfully raised over 55.1 billion VND for the ‘For the Homeland’s Seas and Islands - For the Fatherland’s Frontline’ Fund. These resources are intended to support officials, soldiers, and residents living and working in border areas and maritime regions.

Trương Thị Bích Hạnh, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee, noted that the fund has received continuous support from various organizations, businesses, religious institutions, and individuals both domestically and abroad. The fund facilitates visits to the Truong Sa archipelago, the Southwest sea, and DK1 platforms, supporting combat training facilities and improving the living standards of those stationed at the nation's frontiers.
