Ho Chi Minh City ranked 16th globally for shopping destinations

Ho Chi Minh City has been ranked as the 16th best shopping destination in the world for 2026, according to a report by the travel magazine Travel And Tour World (TTW). This ranking places the Vietnamese city ahead of several major global hubs, including Amsterdam (19th), Kuala Lumpur (20th), Istanbul (21st), Toronto (24th), Copenhagen (27th), Lisbon (29th), and Bangkok (32nd).

In the Southeast Asian region, only Singapore (12th) holds a higher ranking than Ho Chi Minh City. The top three global positions were awarded to London, Milan, and New York. Ho Chi Minh City sits between Barcelona, Spain (15th), and Dublin, Ireland (17th).

The TTW rankings are editorial assessments based on research and comparative analysis of various shopping tourism factors. These criteria include luxury retail, famous shopping streets, traditional markets, artisanal products, price accessibility, retail infrastructure, international brands, local goods, and the overall visitor experience.
