Ho Chi Minh City releases 2026‑27 grade‑10 admission cut‑off scores

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced the cut‑off scores for admission to public high schools in the 2026‑27 school year. More than 151,000 candidates sat the exam, the largest cohort since the city’s merger with Bình Dương and Bà Rịa‑Vũng Tàu. Officials said the scores will rise by 0.5–2 points for most schools, with the strongest increase expected in Tier‑1 and mid‑tier schools in the former Ho Chi Minh City area. The announcement also listed the ten schools with the highest cut‑off points, led by THPT Nguyễn Thượng Hiền at 24.75 points, followed by several schools clustered around 24.5 points. Separate analyses predict overall cut‑off levels to be 2–3 points higher than the previous year, reflecting an “easier” exam and the new merged jurisdiction. After the scores are published, successful candidates must confirm enrollment online and submit documentation at their chosen schools.
