Ho Chi Minh City reports 16.3% of preschool teachers lack required qualifications

In Ho Chi Minh City, over 6,700 preschool teachers do not meet the required training standards. According to data presented by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, these educators hold only intermediate diplomas rather than the required college-level degrees. This group represents approximately 16.3% of the city's total preschool teaching workforce.

Additionally, the report indicates that 323 preschool managers, or 6.7% of the total, also lack the necessary qualifications. These unqualified managers are primarily concentrated in non-public schools. Currently, 83.7% of the city's 41,250 preschool teachers and 93.3% of its 4,868 managers have met the required educational standards.
