Ho Chi Minh City sees expansion of major academic branches
Several major educational institutions are establishing or restructuring branches in Ho Chi Minh City to expand training capacity and human resource development.
Under a government decision, the People's Public Security Academy will establish branches in Ho Chi Minh City by merging the People's Security University and the People's Police University into its structure. This reorganization aims to maintain existing academies while creating specialized regional branches for security and police training.
The Academy of Finance has also established a branch in Ho Chi Minh City. In its first year, the branch expects to train approximately 150 students in fields such as finance, banking, accounting, and auditing, alongside graduate and doctoral students. The move is intended to meet the high demand for quality human resources in the city's economic and financial hub.
Additionally, the University of Law on Procuracy's branch in Ho Chi Minh City has welcomed its first cohort of 282 undergraduate students. The students are enrolled in Law and specialized Procuracy Law programs, marking a strategic shift toward providing high-quality legal personnel for the procuracy sector and society.
