Ho Chi Minh City to host Autumn Economic Forum 2026

Ho Chi Minh City is set to host the Autumn Economic Forum (AEF 2026) from October 26 to 29, 2026. The event, themed “Spirit of Cooperation in a New Era,” aims to highlight the convergence of new global growth poles and is expected to attract over 1,500 domestic and international delegates, including hundreds of CEOs and multinational leaders.

Organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR) in coordination with the World Economic Forum (WEF), the event marks the first time the WEF will co-brand with the forum. High-level international delegations and representatives from major organizations, including the United Nations, IMF, FAO, UNIDO, IFC, ILO, and UNDP, are expected to attend.

In a related regional context, the Mekong International Forum has focused on enhancing economic corridors and sub-regional connectivity. Experts from Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam discussed leveraging geographic advantages and infrastructure to transform transport corridors into integrated economic spaces to boost regional trade, investment, and production resilience.
