Ho Chi Minh City warns of suspected counterfeit Hepatitis B medication
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has issued a warning regarding suspected counterfeit Getino-B Tablets 300mg, specifically batch number 664F44. The alert follows reports of the medication being purchased at a pharmacy in Tan Dinh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Investigations conducted by the manufacturer, Getz Pharma (Pvt) Ltd, confirmed that the suspected batch does not match their official production samples. Discrepancies were identified in the packaging, including differences in font type, line spacing, text alignment, and improper use of English in sections intended for Vietnamese text.
Health authorities have instructed pharmaceutical businesses, medical facilities, and the public to refrain from buying or using this specific batch. Facilities are urged to review their inventories, isolate any suspicious products, and immediately report findings to the relevant authorities.
