Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to close for maintenance

The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi will temporarily close to the public and international visitors for periodic maintenance starting September 4. The site is scheduled to reopen on November 3.

In related cultural news, participants of the Vietnamese Oratory Contest 2026 recently visited several historical sites in Vietnam. The group, which includes contestants returning from Japan and the Netherlands, visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace Historical Site. The visit included watching a documentary titled "The Last Moments of Ho Chi Minh."

The participants also traveled on the "Hanoi 5 Gates" heritage train from Hanoi to Bac Ninh, where they engaged with traditional xam singing artisans.
