Ho Hsin-chun registers candidacy for Taichung mayor

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislator Ho Hsin-chun has officially registered her candidacy for the Taichung mayoral election. Accompanied by DPP legislator Tsai Chi-chang, who will serve as the campaign headquarters director, Ho visited the Dali Fuxing Temple to pray before completing her registration.

Ho announced that former President Tsai Ing-wen has agreed to serve as the honorary chairperson of her campaign headquarters. Ho’s platform, titled ‘Six-Star Municipal Administration and Taichung Innovation 168,’ focuses on three primary goals: achieving top status in all-age care welfare, AI and unmanned vehicle industry innovation, and the efficiency of MRT and air-land transportation construction. She aims to use these pillars to bridge gaps in regional development, municipal governance, and industrial growth.

During the registration, Tsai Chi-chang urged voters to consider the city's current challenges, such as waste management and traffic congestion, rather than focusing solely on party affiliation.
