Ho Yan-si discusses marriage and parenting focus

Hong Kong entertainer Ho Yan-si has opened up about the current state of her marriage to Cheng Chun-hung (Fred), describing their relationship as a highly coordinated “team” rather than a passionate romance. The couple, married in 2020, currently lives apart as they take turns traveling to Vancouver to care for their four-year-old son, who has Angelman syndrome.

Ho noted that their focus has shifted entirely toward their son, with most conversations revolving around his needs. She described their dynamic as being “best partners” in parenting, though she admitted that the physical distance and the demands of caregiving have made their relationship more routine.

Addressing previous online criticism regarding the decision to move their son to Canada, Ho stated she is focused on balancing her professional responsibilities, such as her recent sports commentary work, with her family life. She expressed a desire to maintain clearer boundaries between her private life and her career moving forward.
