Hoa Binh officials inspect key transportation projects

A working group led by Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, conducted field inspections of major transportation projects in the Hoa Binh region on October 23.

The inspection focused on the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway (Km19 - Km53) and the regional connection road linking Hoa Binh, Hanoi, and the Son La expressway. The Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway project spans 34km with an initial phase investment of nearly 10 trillion VND, scheduled for completion between 2022 and 2028.

While land clearance for the four-lane scale has largely been handed over to contractors, the project faces challenges due to complex mountainous terrain, difficult geological conditions, fluctuating fuel prices, and capital constraints regarding the expansion to a full four-lane scale. Currently, the value of completed construction packages stands at approximately 2,387 billion VND out of a total 8,332 billion VND contract value, representing 28.7% of the total.
