Hoa Hoi Commune launches elderly day care center

A new community-based day care center for the elderly officially began operations in Hoa Hoi Commune, Ho Chi Minh City, on October 1. Managed by the Hoa Hoi Commune Medical Station, the facility aims to provide essential health services and social engagement for senior citizens.

The center features six primary activity areas: health examinations and monitoring, primary healthcare, functional rehabilitation, nutritional counseling, cultural and physical activities, and psychological counseling and social work. To ensure professional standards, the Ho Chi Minh City Rehabilitation Hospital and Occupational Disease Treatment provides professional guidance and operational models for specialized elderly rehabilitation.

Funding for the project was secured through a combination of official government budgets, contributions from local officials totaling 160 million VND, and 200 million VND in donations from philanthropists.
