Hoang Van Kien appointed director of Ninh Binh Finance Department

On 28 July, the 16th term Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council held its fourth (special) session and approved the appointment of Hoang Van Kien as Director of the provincial Finance Department after the resignation of his predecessor, Mai Van Quyet, who left the post at his own request.

The council also relieved Hoang Van Kien of his duties as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, authorized his transfer, and appointed him as a member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2026‑2031 term. Mai Van Quyet, former member of the Party Standing Committee and former Finance Department director, submitted a resignation request that was accepted.

Hoang Van Kien, born 1973 in Hoa Lu, holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics and previously served as Finance Department director before the 2021 merger of Ha Nam, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh provinces. He was elected Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council in April 2024 and now returns to lead the Finance Department.
