Hobro hosts Vølvens Verden cultural and food festivals

The cultural event ‘Vølvens Verden’ (The Seeress's World) brought Nordic mythology and Viking heritage to life in Hobro, Denmark. Approximately 620 participants took part in a four-kilometer journey from Hobro Harbor to the Fyrkat Viking fortress.

The experience featured light, music, drama, and storytelling. Participants encountered Viking ships, music at Hobro Church, and a Viking market. The event culminated at Fyrkat with live scenarios, including a performance of the Fyrkat Play and a musical finale by Kristina Kristoffersen.

In conjunction with the cultural journey, the ‘Vølvens Madmarked’ (The Seeress's Food Market) opened at Hobro Harbor. Organized by the Mariagerfjord Food Festival, the market offered Nordic food, music, and activities such as folk music, jazz, and workshops, serving as a community gathering centered around local culinary traditions.
