Hoc Mon residents struggle with flooding at construction site

Residents in Hoc Mon, Ho Chi Minh City, are facing significant difficulties due to flooding at a construction intersection. Even on days without heavy rain, water levels rise, causing vehicles to stall and forcing commuters to wade through deep water.

The flooding occurs at the junction of the National Highway 22 parallel road and Ba Trieu Street. The area is currently part of a project to upgrade and expand Tran Van Muoi Street, specifically the section from National Highway 22 to Xuan Thoi Son 2 and Ba Trieu streets.

Construction barriers have narrowed the available lanes for motorcycles, limiting visibility and complicating movement. Local residents hope the project will be completed promptly to improve the drainage system and traffic flow in the area.
