The vegan cheese alternative brand ‘Simply V’ is produced by the Hochland-Gruppe, a major traditional cheese manufacturer. While the brand may appear to be a small vegan start-up, it is actually part of the large industry player responsible for other well-known brands such as ‘Almette’, ‘Patros’, and ‘Grünländer’.

Launched in 2015, the product line was developed in response to increasing interest in plant-based nutrition. The initial products utilized almonds as a base, though current formulations vary by product and may include plant-based fats and coconut components. The manufacturer states that ‘Simply V’ products do not contain soy or palm oil.
