Hochschule Campus Wien launches study course for non-Matura students

Hochschule Campus Wien, Austria’s largest university of applied sciences, is launching a new study qualification course designed to enable students to enter a bachelor's degree program without a Matura (high school diploma).

The program aims to increase permeability between vocational and academic education by targeting individuals with completed apprenticeships, vocational secondary school certificates, master craftsman certificates, or equivalent foreign qualifications. The first course is scheduled to begin in September 2026, with a subsequent round in February 2027.

Heimo Sandtner, Academic Director and Rector of Hochschule Campus Wien, stated that the initiative supports lifelong learning and helps reach new target groups for higher education. The course will provide structured in-person formats, personal support, and preparation regarding university processes, tools, and expectations to facilitate the transition from vocational training to academic study.
