Hochschule für Musik Detmold launches new youth concert series

The Hochschule für Musik Detmold has introduced a new concept for its children and youth concert series titled ‘Happy New Ears!’. Under the theme ‘Klangzeiten’, students at the academy have developed six new concerts designed for various age groups.

Supported by Claudia Runde, the series explores the sounds that shape the daily lives of young people. The program includes ‘Concertino Piccolino’ for children aged 4 to 8, featuring themes such as everyday sounds, the connection between music and painting, and circus-inspired performances.

For older students in grades 3 to 6, the series includes ‘Sternensinfonie’, which explores space and musical interpretations of the moon, such as Beethoven’s ‘Moonlight Sonata’. All concerts are scheduled to take place at 11:00 AM at the Detmolder Sommertheater.
