HOCHTIEF rating upgraded to BBB by S&P Global Ratings

S&P Global Ratings raised the long‑term and short‑term credit ratings of the ACS Group’s principal companies—HOCHTIEF, CIMIC and Dragados—to "BBB/A‑2" with a stable outlook of "BBB‑/A‑3". The agency highlighted the group’s strong operational performance, disciplined financial management and clear strategic direction. S&P noted that HOCHTIEF benefits from trends such as digitalisation, sustainable mobility, defence, nuclear energy and critical minerals, and identified it as a key growth driver for ACS. The rating upgrade also reflects HOCHTIEF’s solid market position in growth areas like data‑centre construction, biopharma facilities, sports venues and defence infrastructure, as well as its ability to tap anticipated higher German government spending on infrastructure and defence. The stable outlook signals confidence that the ACS Group will maintain strong operational results and a prudent investment approach.
