Hochtief reaches record 90 billion euro order backlog
Construction group Hochtief has reported a record order backlog of 90 billion euros as of the end of September, representing a 29 percent increase compared to the previous year. The company attributed this growth to high demand in sectors including artificial intelligence, energy, defense, and critical minerals.
Data from the quarterly report indicates that Hochtief secured nearly 27 billion euros in orders for data centers alone over the past twelve months. The company also saw significant growth in its financial performance, with operating profit rising 40 percent to 752 million euros and revenue increasing 14 percent to approximately 32 billion euros during the first nine months of the year.
Global projects driving this expansion include data center construction in Asia, the USA, and Europe, as well as infrastructure work in Australia, the UK, and Germany.
